How we started
Melissimo's story started from a real and deeply human need to find solutions when the health of a dear family member needed all the help possible.
So we gratefully discovered the power of this extraordinary fruit and planted the first rows of sea buckthorn in the Gilort Meadow, Gorj County, a mountainous area, free from pollution, where foxes and wild rabbits still roam unhindered.
We grow three varieties of sea buckthorn, each with its own benefits, and the plantation is certified organic, following a rigorous process that confirms what we have always believed:

From family to community
It was a natural transition from the use of shamot in the family to the desire to share it with others.
We wanted to give as many people as possible the chance to enjoy its benefits through carefully created, natural products.
🔸 Back in 2014 we started producing sea buckthorn juice, pulp and nectar, sweetened with organic honey, in our small factory in Vălenii de Munte.
🔸In 2016, this pure honey also became available to the general public under the name Melarium.
Continuous development has followed, both in terms of technology, production capacity and product assortment. Encouraged by your appreciation, we have started to use other fruits, to prepare smoothies, lemonades, natural shots and more recently to launch the 5DC range of organic supplements, including sea buckthorn oil, sea buckthorn capsules and aronia capsules.

We are among the few companies in Romania that integrate the entire production and quality control process, ensuring perfect traceability and total control. Cultivation and processing of organic sea buckthorn, cold pressing and juice stabilization through HPP technology, The production of organic supplements, the collection and testing of honey is complemented and perfected by rigorous quality analysis, carried out both in our in-house laboratory and in external, independent laboratories.
All our products are developed and manufactured in Romania, by food and pharmaceutical specialists, exclusively from natural ingredients, with a deep respect for nature, people and science.
